MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527033447 A) filed by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Tokyo, on April 4, for 'indoor unit of air conditioner.'

Inventor(s) include Sugai Shota.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This indoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a mounting plate fixed to a wall surface and a main body having a heat exchanger and a blower fan inside including a rear case attached to the mounting plate and forming box shaped outer casing wherein the mounting plate has a base portion a protrusion portion with a hook shaped portion and an upper support hook for hooking the main body wherein the rear case has a hook insertion portion hooked to the upper support hook and a central insertion portion into which the hook shaped portion is inserted wherein the central insertion portion includes a rear wall portion and a central wall portion with a hook shaped lower end portion and wherein the hook shaped portion inserted into the central insertion portion faces the rear wall portion and the central wall portion in the longitudinal direction of the main body and when the main body is tilted the lower end portion of the central wall portion and the tip portion of the hook shaped portion come into contact with each other so that upward movement of the main body by a set distance or more is restricted."
