MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011161 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 10, for 'infant feeding device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Premananda Pradhan.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An infant feeding device, comprising a cylindrical member 101 having threads 201 for coupling with a feeding bottle, a conical flap 102 attached on the member 101 having a curved tray 103 for holding dispensed fluid from the bottle on the tray 103, a pump 202 disposed in the flap 102 for conveying fluid onto the tray 103, an iris lid 104 integrated within the flap 102 for dispensing a specific quantity of fluid in the tray 103 to prevent spilling, a pair of V-shaped rods 105 attached with the member 101 having suction cups for horizontal mounting of the bottle on a surface, an imaging unit 106 in synchronization with an accelerometer provided in the member 101 to determine position of infant's mouth during feeding and acceleration of the bottle and a microphone 107 provided on the member 101 for receiving an audio command from the user regarding."
