MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517049024 A) filed by Softbank Group Corp., Tokyo, on May 21, for 'information processing device and program.'

Inventor(s) include Son, Masayoshi.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An information processing device is provided with: an acquisition unit that, in a second cycle that is a cycle for detecting the situation around a vehicle and that is shorter than a first cycle for photographing the surroundings of the vehicle, acquires multiple pieces of information relating to the vehicle from a detection unit including a sensor that detects the situation around a vehicle including obstacles; a calculation unit that includes a setting unit which sets a travel strategy for the vehicle to avoid obstacles from the acquired multiple pieces of information, and that calculates a control variable for controlling the behavior of the vehicle on the basis of the acquired multiple pieces of information and the set travel strategy; and a control unit that controls the behavior of the vehicle on the basis of the calculated control variable."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 23, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/038225.
