MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531017967 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 28, for 'ingredient measuring device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sankar Narayan Das.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ingredient measuring device, comprises of a hollow concave structure 101 having a V-shaped configuration for containing an ingredient, a rectangular plate 104 configured with a drawer mechanism installed within the structure 101 by means of a linear actuator 105, for adjusting a height of the plate 104 in the structure 101 to alter an inner volume of the structure, an imaging unit 106, installed on the member 102 to determine surface of the ingredient for scooping, a series of markings 109 inscribed along a height of the structure 101 to provide a visual guidance to the user regarding a volume of ingredient in the structure 101, a touch-enabled display unit 111 provided on the member 102 for enabling the user to provide touch input regarding required volume or weight, and a weight sensor embedded in the structure 101 to detect a weight of the ingredient in the structure 101."
