MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097084 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Oct. 8, for 'insulating coating film treatment liquid for grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet and method for producing grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet.'
Inventor(s) include Takatani, Shinsuke; and Takeda, Kazutoshi.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This method for producing an insulating coating film treatment liquid for a grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet includes: an adjustment step of adding a K compound to colloidal silica, and adjusting a K2O/SiO2 ratio in mass% between the K amount in terms of K2O in the colloidal silica and the Si amount in terms of SiO2 to 0.5% to 10%; and a mixing step of mixing the colloidal silica in which the K2O/SiO2 ratio has been adjusted, without adding a chromic acid salt, and a metal phosphate salt(s) of one or more metals selected from Al, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ni, Zn, Co, Mo, V, W, and Zr."
