MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010733 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'insulating cover installation device for electrical wires.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An insulating cover installation device for electrical wires, comprising a cuboidal body 1 configured with pair of rods 2 each equipped with C-shaped member 3 attached with suction cups 4, a touch enabled screen 5 installed on body 1 for giving input commands for installing an insulating cover over wires, a camera 6 mounted on body 1 for capturing images of wires, a primary C-shaped extendable plate 7 installed with body 1 via a telescopically operated rod 8 to extend for positioning plate 7 in contact with wires, a gear linkage arrangement 11 for providing human gait-like movement to rods 2, a secondary C-shaped extendable plate 12 installed with body 1 via a telescopically operated bar 13 for positioning secondary plate 12 in contact with wires and a motorized slider 15 for providing a rotational motion to spool within inner periphery of secondary plate 12 for unwrapping tape 14."
