MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113798 A) filed by Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'intelligent bio-responsive patch.'

Inventor(s) include Kuldeep Kumar; and Namrta Tanwar.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention introduces an artificial intelligence integrated bio-responsive nano patch for real-time health monitoring and autonomous drug delivery. It comprises a nanoneedle array for non-invasive biomarker extraction, biosensors for molecular detection, and an artificial intelligence prediction module for early disease forecasting. The integrated micro-drug reservoirs equipped with electro-responsive nanoporous membranes release therapeutic agents automatically upon abnormal biomarker detection. The system operates in a closed loop, merging detection, prediction, and therapy into one wearable device. The wireless communication enables real-time data sharing with smartphones and healthcare providers. This patch represents a transformative leap in wearable healthcare, enabling proactive management of chronic and acute diseases through intelligent, personalized, and non-invasive technology."
