MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621000072 A) filed by Phoenix Solar Systems Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Dhananjay Ramrao Kadam; and Mrs Sujata Dhananjay Kadam, Satara, Maharashtra, on Jan. 1, for 'intelligent solar water heater with non-mixing valve and smart control for efficient, reliable, long-life performance.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Dhananjay Ramrao Kadam; and Mrs Sujata Dhananjay Kadam.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Intelligent Solar Water Heater with Non-Mixing Valve and Smart Control for Efficient, Reliable, Long-Life Performance This invention describes a solar water heating system employing a thermal preservation mechanism and intelligent dual-mode operation. The system operates selectively in a Solar Water Heater (SWH) mode using programmable multi-timer control, or an Electric Boiler mode maintaining constant temperature independent of solar availability. A stainless steel or glass-lined Steel insulated storage tank preserves thermal energy while an electromagnetic inlet valve prevents cold-water mixing when stored water temperature exceeds safety thresholds. Intelligent control logic maintains water temperature and level through coordinated sensor feedback, auxiliary electric heating, and automatic inlet regulation. The system ensures safe operation through temperature-based inlet locking above 80 C, low-level alarms, forced refill protection, and fault indication. A smart user interface provides real-time visibility of temperature, water availability, operational mode, and system alerts. The invention delivers consistent hot water, enhanced safety, extended lifespan, and optimized energy utilization."
