MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441020606 A) filed by DB Productions, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 19, 2024, for 'interactive gifting package device with paper-latching power control mechanism and method thereof.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An interactive package device for gifting 200, is disclosed. The package 200 is a compact, battery-operated box equipped with essential components. The package 100 includes a microphone 213 for capturing user voice data, an audio encoding integrated chip (IC) for converting analogue voice data into digital form, and a speaker 215 for playback. The device further includes a playback button 204. Notably, the box features a paper-latching mechanism 230 integrated within, designed to control power flow. The latch mechanism 230 is provided as horizontal or vertical mechanisms. This mechanism is provided with by a sealed paper slit 234 or a pull down slit 240. The sealed paper slit 234 which, when intact, interrupts power flow, and when removed, allows power flow, enhancing the interactive and customizable nature of the gifting experience. The device serves to create a nostalgic and a memorable experience for the giver and the recipient."
