MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547059040 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on June 19, for 'interference cancellation for backscattered reference signals.'

Inventor(s) include Wang Xiaojie; Sun Jing; Fahim Mohammad Tarek; and Yerramalli Srinivas.

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a radio frequency identification (RFID) device receives, from an RFID tag, a first backscattered signal (1110), receives, from the RFID tag, a second backscattered signal having a known time offset relative to the first backscattered signal (1120), and performs interference cancellation on the first backscattered signal based on the second backscattered signal (1130)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 02, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/014133.
