MUMBAI, India, April 4 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321031670 A) filed by Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, Maharashtra, on May 3, 2023, for 'interlocking burner for gas cooktops/hobs.'

Inventor(s) include Gaurav Manglekar; Ishan Shinde; Manjunatha AR; Sanjeev Agarwal; and Nitesh Mathur.

The application for the patent was published on April 4, under issue no. 14/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An interlocking burner for gas cooktops/hobs comprising of a burner including multiple holes with a cup-shaped structure configured for supplied igniting gases; a mixing tube configured to house the said burner such that the mixed gas and air pass through the holes of said burner; wherein the said burner includes at least one integrated locking slot and the said mixing tube includes at least one mating locking stud; and wherein the said, at least one integrated locking slot of the burner is configured to get interlocked with at least one mating stud of the mixing tube by way of twisting the said burner over the stationary mixing tube."
