According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed herein for video encoding and/or decoding using intra block copy (IBC) and/or intra template matching prediction (intraTMP) filtering. In examples, a video decoder or video encoder may determine that a current block is coded in IBC mode. Based on the current block being coded in the intra block copy mode, filter parameters may be determined based on template samples of a prediction block and template samples of the current block. Samples of the prediction block may be filtered based on the determined filter parameters. The current block may be encoded or decoded based on the filtered samples."
The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/059297.
