MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102299 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, 2025, for 'iot-based portable health monitoring system for real-time measurement and processing of vital parameters.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An IoT-based portable health monitoring system for real-time measurement and processing of vital parameters, comprises of a sensing module 101 configured to detect heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) of a patient, a processing unit 102 configured to process sensor data on-device using edge computing principles, a display module 103 including an LCD screen for instant feedback of detected parameters, a communication module 104 for transmitting real-time vital data to remote monitoring platforms, and a simulation module 105 configured to emulate sensor readings for enabling cost-effective validation."
