MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541116149 A) filed by S. Nithya; G. Sundar; R. Senthil Kumar; K. H. Bensy; S. Dhivanan; R. Ragul; and J. Sakthivel, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 24, 2025, for 'iot based solar pannel efficiency monitoring system.'
Inventor(s) include S. Nithya; G. Sundar; R. Senthil Kumar; K. H. Bensy; S. Dhivanan; R. Ragul; and J. Sakthivel.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The project presents an loT-Based Solar Panel Efficiency Monitoring System using an ESP32 microcontroller with INA219 power and DHTll temperature sensors to track voltage, current, and temperature in real time. When a panel fault or efficiency drop occurs, a MOSFET -based bypass circuit activates automatically to maintain performance. * The system displays alerts on a 16x2 I2C LCD and sends real-time notifications via Telegram BOT. A web application allows users to identify faulty panels using unique IDs for each array. * This solution ensures continuous monitoring, reduces energy loss and manual checks, and provides a cost-effective, smart, and reliable method for solar system management. It supports sustainable energy use through timely fault detection and performance optimization."
