MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095865 A) filed by Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (PUBL), Stockholm, on Oct. 6, for 'joint communication and sensing.'
Inventor(s) include Parkvall, Stefan; Baldemair, Robert; Behravan, Ali; Dahlman, Erik; and Bjorkegren, Hakan.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "There is disclosed a method of of operating a radio node in a wireless communication network, the radio node being adapted for wireless communication, and being adapted for sensing and/or radar operation, the method comprising performing a sensing operation based on a set of reference signalling parameters, the set of reference signalling parameters being one of a plurality of sets of reference signalling parameters, wherein the sensing operation pertains to reference signalling according to the operating set of RS parameters. The disclosure also pertains to related devices and methods."
The patent application was internationally filed on May 12, 2023, under International application No.PCT/SE2023/050470.
