MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517042903 A) filed by Institute Of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy Of Medical Sciences, Beijing, on May 2, for 'keratin yk93-8, and preparation method therefor, pharmaceutical composition thereof and use thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention belongs to the field of biopharmaceuticals. Provided in the present invention are keratin YK93-8, a nucleic acid molecule encoding same, an expression vector containing the nucleic acid molecule, a host cell containing the expression vector or a host cell having the the nucleic acid molecule integrated into the genome, as well as a method for preparing keratin YK93-8 and a pharmaceutical composition of keratin YK93-8. Further provided is the use of the above-mentioned keratin YK93-8 and other products in the preparation of drugs, such as a drug for treating hyperplasia of prostate, lymphoma, melanoma, breast cancer, lung cancer and uterine myoma, an analgesic, a lactation drug and a coagulant."
