MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025474 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'keyboard operating assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A keyboard operating assistive device, comprising of a first platform 1 installed with a pair of U-shaped members 2 developed to be accommodated around edge of a fixed surface, a second platform 4 installed on the first platform 1 for accommodating a keyboard, a microphone 5 for giving voice commands for securing the first platform 1 with the fixed surface, multiple pneumatic blocks 6 to extend/retract for securing the members 2 with the fixed surface, an imaging unit 7 mounted on the second platform 4 for detecting dimensions of the keyboard, multiple motorized sliders 8 for translating the cuboidal for gripping the keyboard in a secured manner, a pair of telescopically operated rods 10 to extend/retract for lifting/lower the second platform 4, a pair of motorized sliding for translating the rods 10 in a manner to align the second platform 4 along with the keyboard with the screen."
