MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024171 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'knee support device.'

Inventor(s) include Disha; Hemant Aggarwal; Manish Goswami; Avni Vij; and Himani Thakur.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A knee support device, comprising a pair of rectangular bodies 1 positioned on a ground surface, and each equipped with a curved-shaped member for accommodating a user's knee portion, a strap 3 is manually accommodated around knees, a microphone 4 receives voice commands for securing knees with members 2, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 detects dimensions of user's knees, a motorized roller 6 fastens straps 3 for gripping user's knees with members 2, plurality of omnidirectional wheels 7 allow user to comfortably crawl over ground, an angle sensor detects angle of members 2 with respect to bodies 1, plurality of telescopically operated links 8 extends/retracts to maintain an optimum angle of members 2, thus preventing twisting of user's knees."
