MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088379 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'lawn maintenance assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Kuldeep Maurya.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a lawn maintenance assistive device, comprising a frame 1 having a first and second portion 2, 3, positioned on a ground surface of a lawn, a handle 4 configured with first portion 2 for allowing a user to steer the frame 1, a pair of paddles 5 attached with frame 1 for allowing the user to drive wheels for maneuvering the frame 1 over the surface, a cutting arrangement 6 with a pair of front wheels 13 arranged on the first portion 2 for removing unwanted weeds, an imaging unit 7 mapped on the first portion 2 to determine weed dimensions, a sliding arrangement 8 configured with plurality of blades 9 integrated on cutting arrangement 6 for orienting the blades 9 and a moisture sensor 10 mapped on first portion 2 to detect surface moisture."
