MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527034882 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on April 9, for 'layer 1 (l1) mobility measurement method and apparatus communication device and storage medium.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a Layer 1 (L1) mobility measurement method the method being executed by an access network device. The method comprises: sending configuration information used for L1 mobility measurement to a terminal the configuration information comprising frequency point information for mobility measurement and the frequency point information indicating at least one of the following: a serving frequency point a same frequency point and a different frequency point. Compared with a means in which it is only possible to execute mobility measurement of a same frequency cell of L1 it is possible to execute mobility measurement of a same frequency cell and/or a different frequency cell which helps mobility measurement management."
