MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007509 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'leafy vegetables harvesting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Gnanaprakasam Thangavel.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A leafy vegetables harvesting device comprises of a body 1 developed to be installed by a user within a crop field, multiple wheels 2 for providing movement to body 1 within field, a display panel 3 for enabling user to provide input, a crank-shaft arrangement 4 coupled with multiple blades 5 for providing a linear motion to blades 5 results in translation of blades 5 linearly for cutting vegetables, an air blower 6 for blowing air as means of pushing cut vegetables towards a conveyor 7, an imaging unit 8 for capturing multiple images of surroundings for determining successful positioning of cut vegetables over conveyor 7 which further translates cut vegetables towards a storage chamber 9, multiple motorized hinges connected with a circular plate 10 for deploying multiple extendable triangular members 11 attached with hinges to accommodate grasses in between members 11 for plucking grasses from field."
