MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026019 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'levelling device for a cement surface.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A levelling device for a cement surface comprises an elongated handle rod 1 surrounded by an air cushion padding and a stretchable fabric enclosing and affixing the air cushion padding onto the handle rod, an artificial intelligence-based sensor array detect a cement surface in the field of view of the optical camera, a laser and a tactile sensor, detecting a dimension of the cement surface and a hardness of the cement surface respectively, an elongated main plate 3 attached perpendicularly to an end of the handle rod by a motorized ball and socket joint a motorized slider 4 enabling the sliding plate to move along the slot, plurality of motorized thread rollers 5 provided on a circular motorized thread selector 6 positioned beside the fixed plate, plurality of motorized thread rollers 5 provided on a circular motorized thread selector 6 positioned beside the fixed plate."
