MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527028668 A) filed by Steiner-Aufzuge Gmbh, Pressbaum, Austria, on March 26, for 'lift system, and method for delivering parcels.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a lift system (1) for delivering parcels (6), the lift system (1) comprising: a lift car (2), in particular for transporting passengers; a first lift shaft (3); a parcel carriage (4) for receiving parcels (6); and a second lift shaft (5), the lift car (2) being movable in the first lift shaft (3), and the parcel carriage (4) being movable in the second lift shaft (5). In order to simplify the delivery of parcels, according to the invention the first lift shaft (3) and the second lift shaft (5) are communicatively connected to one another for parcel transfer in order to transfer a parcel (6) received by the parcel carriage (4) into the interior of the lift car (2). The invention also relates to a method for delivering a parcel (6) into a building using a lift system (1)."
