MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517047822 A) filed by Roquette Freres, Lestrem, France, on May 17, for 'lipid nanoparticles for nucleic acid delivery.'
Inventor(s) include Peng, Tao; Goh, Yuan Hao, Lucas; and Chang, Shih Chieh.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to new Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) which can be used for nucleic acid delivery, wherein said LNPs comprise a nucleic acid and a nonionic or cationic cyclodextrin compound. The invention also relates to a process for making the same, and to the use thereof in the pharmaceutical field."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 14, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/025524.
