MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095989 A) filed by United Immunity, Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Oct. 6, for 'lipid particle.'

Inventor(s) include Harada, Naozumi; Inoue, Tadashi; Soga, Takatoshi; and Igarashi, Yuka.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "To provide lipid particles that can be produced without relying on PEG-modified lipids, that are superior in medicinal effect, safety, or stability to lipid particles that rely on PEG-modified lipids, or that have different immunodynamics than lipid particles that rely on PEG-modified lipids. Provided is a lipid particle, wherein the lipid particle contains an ionized lipid, a phospholipid, and a sterol as lipids constituting the lipid particle and contains a modified polysaccharide that includes a hydrophobic group."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 14, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/009979.
