MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055506 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 9, for 'lithium secondary battery.'
Inventor(s) include Ji, Su Hyeon; Lee, Jung Min; and Lee, Chul Haeng.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a lithium secondary battery comprising: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein the positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material, the positive electrode active material includes a lithium transition metal oxide represented by chemical formula A, the non-aqueous electrolyte includes a lithium salt, an organic solvent, and additives, the additives include a first additive, and the first additive includes vinylethylene carbonate.
