MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517096439 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 7, for 'lithium secondary battery.'

Inventor(s) include Byun, Seoungwoo; Hwang, Sunwook; Jang, Eunji; Ryu, Jihoon; Lim, Taeseob; Kim, Dong Kyu; Jun, Youngjin; and Lee, Sangryeo.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery with improved output characteristics and low-temperature characteristics. The lithium secondary battery comprises a cathode, an anode, and an electrolyte containing a lithium salt and a non-aqueous organic solvent. The cathode comprises: a cathode current collector; and an active material layer formed on the cathode current collector and containing a cathode active material, a conductive material, and an oxide-based solid electrolyte having a lithium ion source. The cathode active material and the oxide-based solid electrolyte are dispersed in the form of particles within the active material layer, and the average particle diameter (D50) of the particles satisfies a predetermined ratio."

The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 11, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/004873.
