MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058523 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 18, for 'lithium secondary battery and manufacturing method therefor.'
Inventor(s) include Jun, Hyun Min; Lee, Yong Ju; Kim, Dong Hyuk; and Kim, Do Hyeun.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery comprising: an anode comprising a silicon-based anode active material; a cathode; a separator interposed between the cathode and the anode; and an electrolyte, wherein the silicon-based anode active material comprises 30 parts by volume or less of crystalline silicon on the basis of 100 parts by volume of the total weight of the active material, and breakage of silicon-based anode active material particles is minimized such that side reactions with an electrolyte solution and electrode degradation are inhibited, and thus lifespan characteristics and resistance characteristics are improved."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 21, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/021343.
