MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547098386 A) filed by Toray Industries, Inc., Tokyo, on Oct. 13, for 'long-fiber nonwoven fabric, method for manufacturing same, and sanitary material.'

Inventor(s) include Kajiwara Kentaro; and Morioka Hideki.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In order to provide a long-fiber nonwoven fabric having a smooth surface without pleats and having good stretchability, at least one surface of a long-fiber nonwoven fabric according to the present invention is composed of fibers FA having a thermoplastic resin A as a main component, the ratio Dmax/Dmin of the apparent maximum fiber diameter Dmax (m) and the apparent minimum fiber diameter Dmin (m) of the fiber FA is 1.2-5.0, the elongation recovery rate of the long-fiber nonwoven fabric is 50%-99%, and the apparent density is 0.02 g/cm3-0.20 g/cm3. The long-fiber nonwoven fabric is preferably used for a sanitary material."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 14, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/010048.
