MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611007381 A) filed by Motorama Ev Private Limited, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Jan. 25, for 'low-latency safety drive system for brushless dc motors.'

Inventor(s) include Abhishek Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a low-latency safety drive system for a brushless DC motor, comprising a DC bus, a three-phase inverter, a gate-driver unit, and a primary control processor configured to generate pulse-width-modulated commutation signals. A safety logic device operates independently of the primary control processor and receives motor speed, motor current, temperature, and power-stage fault signals. The safety logic device evaluates overspeed, stall, and thermal stress conditions and generates a severity-coded intervention command. A synchronizer aligns assertion of the intervention command with a pulse-width-modulation frame boundary or a commutation sector boundary. An intervention selector applies the synchronized intervention command to either a torque-clamp path or a shutdown path that disables inverter switching. A safety event recorder stores time-stamped records of asserted intervention commands."
