MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122928 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'low power bulk-driven operational transconductance amplifier for eeg signal acquisition.'
Inventor(s) include Banushree S; and Naushad Manzoor Laskar.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a three-stage bulk-driven operational transconductance amplifier comprising an input stage including a bulk-driven differential pair configured to receive differential input signals at bulk terminals of input transistors and convert the differential input signals to differential currents, wherein the bulk-driven differential pair is configured to operate at supply voltages of 0.5V or below. Current mirrors are coupled to the bulk-driven differential pair and configured to provide active loading and current mirroring. A second stage includes a common-source amplifier configured to amplify signals from the input stage, wherein the second stage includes self-cascode transistors configured to enhance output resistance. An output stage includes a cascode current mirror configured to drive a load capacitance and interface with external circuits. The amplifier achieves ultra-low power consumption while maintaining transconductance performance for electroencephalogram signal acquisition applications."
