MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012833 A) filed by Bennett University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'machine vision systems for object recognition in robotics.'
Inventor(s) include Prof. Ajith Abraham; and Prof. Arpit Bhardwaj.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a machine vision system designed for object recognition in robotics. The system includes a camera that captures images of the working environment, a processing unit that extracts relevant features from the captured images, and an object recognition algorithm implemented in the processing unit. This algorithm is capable of identifying and classifying objects within the processed images based on the extracted features. The system also features a communication interface for transmitting the object recognition results to a robotic system."
