MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414078939 A) filed by Hitachi, Ltd., Tokyo, on Oct. 17, 2024, for 'maintenance support system, method executed by maintenance support system, and program.'

Inventor(s) include Yusuke Ota; and Hiroshi Nagata.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The current pattern extraction unit acquires time-series information of a current value of a current flowing through a fuse, and extracts a current pattern that accelerates deterioration of the fuse from the time-series information of the current value. The current pattern characteristic value calculation unit calculates a characteristic value of the current pattern based on the extracted current pattern information indicating the extracted current pattern. The fuse deterioration acceleration coefficient calculation unit calculates a deterioration acceleration coefficient of the fuse based on the characteristic value of the current pattern. The fuse remaining life calculation unit calculates the remaining life of the fuse in consideration of the current pattern based on the deterioration acceleration coefficient of the fuse."
