MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024812 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'makeup assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Rupinder Kaur Tiwana; Dr. Rohit Sharma; Sumain Singla; and Tejbir Singh.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A makeup assistive device, comprising a cylindrical body 1 developed to be accessed by a user to position in proximity of the user's face, a microphone 2 receives voice commands from the user for activating/deactivating the device, a motorized roller 3 coiled with a looped strap 4 fasten on the user's hand, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 determines location of user-specified body 1 part on which makeup is to be applied, a circular chamber stores plurality of brushes 8 es, a motorized slider 6 positions the determined brushes 8 in proximity to the user-specified body 1 part, plurality of telescopically operated grippers 7 provides makeup strokes on the user-specified body 1 part, and a vibrating unit produces vibrational sensations for dusting off makeup particles from the brushes 8."
