MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517037310 A) filed by Tokuyama Corporation, Yamaguchi, Japan, on April 17, for 'masterbatch, method for producing masterbatch, tire rubber composition, method for producing tire rubber composition, tire rubber material, and tire.'
Inventor(s) include Kondou Manabu; Matsumoto Tomoki; Kudo Yasuhiko; and Nakamura Masahiro.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[Problem] To provide: a tire rubber material having an excellent balance of wear resistance, fuel efficiency, and wet grip; a masterbatch and a tire rubber composition that are suitable for producing said tire rubber material; a manufacturing method thereof; and a tire including a tire member made of said tire rubber material. [Solution] Provided is a masterbatch comprising: a rubber component that is at least one selected from the group consisting of natural rubber and synthetic rubber; a reinforcing filler containing hydrophilic fumed silica; and a silane coupling agent, wherein on the basis of 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, the amount of the hydrophilic fumed silica is 13-130 parts by mass and the amount of the silane coupling agent is 1-40 parts by mass, and the mass proportion of the hydrophilic fumed silica in 100 mass% of the reinforcing filler is at least 50%."
