MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074827 A) filed by Purple Innovation, Llc, Lehi, U.S.A., on Aug. 6, for 'mattresses with stabilized upper surfaces.'
Inventor(s) include Pearson, Brett; and Taylor, Robert W.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A mattress assembly with a surface that is stabilized to prevent separation of rails (e.g., side rails, end rails) from edges of a primary cushion of the mattress assembly. A strip of scrim fabric may overlap each rail and an adjacent portion of the primary cushion to stabilize the interface or seam between an edge of the primary cushion and a rail positioned against that edge. Methods for stabilizing the upper surfaces of mattress assemblies are also disclosed, as are adjustable beds including mattresses with stabilized upper surfaces."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 23, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/012639.
