MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527064549 A) filed by Achenbach Buschhutten Gmbh & Co. Kg, Kreuztal, Germany, on July 7, for 'measurement roller and method for producing same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a measurement roller and to a method for producing a measurement roller in order to measure at least one property, in particular the strip tension, the strip temperature, or the like, of a product being guided over the measurement roller, comprising a measurement roller body (11) which forms a circumferential surface (13) of the measurement roller, wherein the measurement roller has at least one sensor assembly (14), and the sensor assembly is formed from at least one recess (15) which is made within the circumferential surface and in which at least one sensor is received. The recess is designed to be closed by a cover (22) of the sensor assembly so as to be flush with the circumferential surface, and the cover is operatively connected to the sensor in a mechanical manner. The cover is bonded to the measurement roller body, and the cover is formed with a wall (23) on the circumferential surface."
