MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514022304 A) filed by Heraeus Electro-Nite International N. V., Houthalen, Belgium, on March 12, for 'measuring probe for molten metal.'

Inventor(s) include Neyens, Guido; Bex, Gert-Jan; and Stevens, Frank.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a measuring probe for a molten metal, comprising a sensor unit adapted to determine at least one parameter of the molten metal, a signal line connected to the sensor und and a carrier element. The sensor unit comprises a sensing element and a metal body. The signal line comprises at least two wires and the inner diameter of the carrier tube is between 7 to 20 time the outer diameter of the wires. In a further aspect, the invention relates to a method to measure the at least one parameter of a metal melt."
