MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521059420 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on June 20, for 'meditation enclosure.'

Inventor(s) include Isha Savaliya; Yash Vekariya; and Dr. Sunil Lavadiya.

The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A meditation enclosure comprising a bench 101 supported on a plurality of telescopic rods 102 for adjustable resting surface, enclosed within a frame 103 equipped with motorized rollers 104, 108 on its top edges, a plurality of soundproof sheets 105 made of layered acoustic and electrochromic material rolled on the rollers 104, 108 and deployed through motorized vertical sliders 106 and horizontal sliders 109 to cover the sides and top of the frame 103, an electromagnet 107 provided on the sheet 105 ends magnetically sealing the enclosure with metallic strips on the frame 103, a sun sensor detecting ambient light intensity and regulating the electrochromic transparency of the sheets 105, a camera 110 monitoring the surroundings, detecting gestures and identifying emergency conditions, a microphone unit 111 capturing vocal distress, a speaker unit 112 playing soothing sounds, a holographic projection unit 113 generating calming visuals during meditation."
