MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521126139 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Maharashtra, on Dec. 12, 2025, for 'membrane-associated protein biomarker panel and kit for differentiating cisplatin resistant from cisplatin-sensitive triple-negative breast cancer (tnbc).'
Inventor(s) include Shashwati Parihari; Saheli Sarkar; and Sanjeeva Srivastava.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Membrane-Associated Protein Biomarker Panel and Kit for Differentiating Cisplatin-Resistant from Cisplatin-Sensitive Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). Membrane-associated protein biomarker panel for differentiating cisplatin-resistant triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) from cisplatin-sensitive TNBC are disclosed herein. Embodiments herein further include a method for classifying a biological sample as cisplatin-resistant or cisplatin-sensitive TNBC. Also, disclosed are embodiments of a kit for differentiating cisplatin-resistant TNBC from cisplatin-sensitive TNBC in a biological sample. The biomarker panel enables a robust, reproducible, and minimally invasive approach for detecting and quantifying protein markers associated with cisplatin resistance in TNBC."
