MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611024107 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 28, for 'method and apparatus for dual-cap dropper bottle having a self-adjusting buoyancy-controlled floating nozzle.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Mohd Haider.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dual-cap dropper bottle for dispensing liquid formulations is disclosed. The dropper bottle comprises an outer bottle body defining an internal chamber for storing a liquid formulation, an inner dispensing cap mounted on a neck portion of the bottle body, an outer protective cap removably coupled over the inner dispensing cap, and a dispensing nozzle arranged within the internal chamber and fluidly connected to the inner dispensing cap. The dispensing nozzle is configured as a self-adjusting buoyancy-controlled floating nozzle having an internal buoyant structure that automatically maintains an optimal dispensing position within the liquid formulation irrespective of liquid level inside the bottle body. The floating nozzle further includes a dynamic flow-regulation micro-channel configured to dispense substantially uniform drops independent of user-applied pressure and liquid viscosity, and a one-way anti-backflow valve configured to prevent reverse flow of liquid and ingress of contaminants into the internal chamber. Closure of the outer protective cap automatically seals the dispensing nozzle to prevent leakage and contamination during storage and transport."
