MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072593 A) filed by Focal Point Positioning Limited, Arbury, U.K., on July 30, for 'method and apparatus for generating a predictive model.'

Inventor(s) include Faragher, Ramsey Michael; Crockett, Robert Mark; and Duffett-Smith, Peter James.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method and apparatus for generating a predictive model include operating a radio signal receiving device while collecting data corresponding to at least one frequency-related parameter associated with a frequency source associated with the receiving device, at least one operational characteristic of the receiving device, and/or at least one environmental event associated with the receiving device, where the at least one frequency-related parameter changes with changes in the at least one operational characteristic and/or the at least one environmental event, and processing the data to generate a predictive model to be used to compensate for the changes in the at least one frequency-related parameter corresponding to the at least one operational characteristic and/or the at least one environmental event."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 15, 2024, under International application No.PCT/GB2024/050404.
