Particularly, but not exclusively, the present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for prioritizing L1/L2 triggered mobility (LTM) target cells for a handover in a wireless communication network. The method discloses receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a plurality of LTM target cells configuration from the wireless communication network. Further, calculating efficiency of the plurality of LTM target cells using the received configuration. Finally, prioritizing one or more LTM target cells among the plurality of LTM target cells for the handover using the calculated efficiency of the plurality of LTM target cells."
