MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095898 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 6, for 'method and apparatus for searching for control information in wireless communication system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. A method of a terminal in a communication system, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) including a field instructing skipping of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring during a specific period in an active bandwidth part (BWP) within a serving cell; skipping PDCCH monitoring from a first slot after the last symbol of the PDCCH to which the DCI including the field is provided; transmitting, to the base station, a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) including a negative acknowledgment (NACK) value; and terminating the skipping of PDCCH monitoring from the first slot after the last symbol of the PUCCH or PUSCH."
