MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517046454 A) filed by Shanghai Langbo Communication Technology Company Limited, Shanghai, on May 14, for 'method and apparatus used in communication node for radio communication.'

Inventor(s) include Yu Qiaoling; and Zhang Xiaobo.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application discloses a method and apparatus used in a communication node for radio communication. A communication node sends a preamble on K1 time frequency resources a first reference time frequency resource being one of the K1 time frequency resources; then listens for first signaling in response to the sending of the preamble on the K1 time frequency resources the first signaling being used for scheduling a random access response and the first signaling being scrambled by a first RNTI wherein each time frequency resource among the K1 time frequency resources is used for the preamble; the first RNTI depends on only the first reference time frequency resource among the K1 time frequency resources and K1 is an integer greater than 1. The solution provided by the present application is for multiple PRACH transmissions and avoids the use of a plurality of RA RNTI to listen for a random access response thereby reducing power consumption and reducing complexity."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 09, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/123483.
