MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441010255 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'method and system for dynamic slice allocation in a telecommunication network.'
Inventor(s) include Chandan Swarup Patra; Imran Mohammed; Sridharan Natarajan; Birudaraju Sri Charan; and Sulabh Jain.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to field of telecommunication network (103) that discloses method and data analytics system (123) for dynamic network slice allocation in telecommunication network (103). The data analytics system (123) monitors an application usage pattern of one or more User Equipment (UEs) (101) when one or more UEs (101) is connected to default network slice in telecommunication network (103). Further, data analytics system (123) classifies each of one or more UEs (101) into plurality of categories based on application usage pattern of each of one or more UEs (101). Finally, data analytics system (123) allocates network slice having predefined QoS (Quality of Service) to each of one or more UEs (101) categorized in each of plurality of categories. The present disclosure helps to improve the QoS of the UE (101) by dynamically allocating network slice based on application usage pattern."
