MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421020497 A) filed by Tata Motors Limited, Maharashtra, on March 19, 2024, for 'method and system for transmitting video data associated with a vehicle operator.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method and system for transmitting a video data associated with a vehicle operator of a vehicle is disclosed. The method includes monitoring (302) an activity of the vehicle operator in real-time during an active state of the vehicle; detecting (304) an anomaly in a state of the vehicle operator based on a set of parameters; upon detecting the anomaly (306), sending (308) an anomaly detection alert to a Telematic Control Unit (TCU) (112); and capturing (310) the video data corresponding to the anomaly for a predefined time interval. The method further includes sending (312) a data transfer request to the TCU (112) via the CAN to initiate transfer of the video data; receiving (314) an acceptance response from the TCU (112) based on one or more network parameters; and transmitting (316) the video data to the TCU (112) via a wireless communication network upon receiving the acceptance response."
