MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641050639 A) filed by Mohan Babu University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, on April 21, for 'method development and validation of an rp-hplc analytical method for simultaneous estimation of pharmaceutical compounds in dosage forms.'
Inventor(s) include Ms. Lakshmi Bhargavi. K; Mr. Sai Teja. K; Ms. Sandhya. L; and Dr. N. Udayakumar.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the development and validation of a Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC) method for the simultaneous estimation of Ambroxol Hydrochloride and Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride in pharmaceutical dosageorms. The method uses a Phenomenex Luna C-18 column with a mobile phase consisting of sodium phosphate buffer and methanol. Detection is carried out at a wavelength of 230 nm to achieve effective separation and quantification of the compounds. The developed analytical method was validated based on parameters such as specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy, robustness, and ruggedness. The validation results demonstrate that the method provides reliable and reproducible results suitable for pharmaceutical quality control analysis. Due to its simplicity, sensitivity, and accuracy, the proposed RP-HPLC method can be used for routine analysis of pharmaceutical formulations containing Ambroxol Hydrochloride and Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride."
