MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527077590 A) filed by Enchannel Medical Guangzhou Inc., Guangdong, China, on Aug. 14, for 'method for constructing three-dimensional anatomical model of heart, and system for three-dimensional mapping of heart.'
Inventor(s) include Kong, Fanwei; Zhu, Min; Song, Qing; and Feng, Jun.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for constructing a three-dimensional anatomical model of the heart, and a system for the three-dimensional mapping of the heart. The method comprises: obtaining a template atrial model and point cloud data of an atrium to be modeled, the point cloud data being the position coordinate information of a portion of the feature points in the atrium to be modeled; using an affine transformation network to map the portion of the feature points in the atrium to be modeled into the template atrial model; and inputting into a prediction network the point cloud data mapped into the template atrial model, predicting the displacement of a control feature point in the template atrial model, and according to the displacement of the control feature point, changing the shape of the template atrial model to obtain a three-dimensional anatomical model of the atrium to be modeled. In this way, the invention can, by means of the positional coordinate information of a portion of the feature points of an atrium to be modeled, and utilizing a trained neural network, construct a three-dimensional anatomical model of the atrium to be modeled; moreover, human intervention is not required, thereby achieving fully-automated construction of a three-dimensional anatomical model of an atrium."
The patent application was internationally filed on May 16, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/094488.
