Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Method For Data Management In A Storage Device And System Thereof' Filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441037638 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on May 13, 2024, for 'method for data management in a storage device and system thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Saigun Jose Chiriyankandath; Narasimha Rao Mavillapalli; and Kumar VVNMR.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure relates to a storage system and a method for data management in a nonvolatile storage device in the storage system. The method includes configuring a logical unit in the non-volatile storage device to automatically erase data stored in the logical unit during a boot up process of a host system, and un-mapping the data stored in the logical unit based on detecting that the logical unit is configured to automatically erase data stored in the logical unit in the non-volatile storage device."
